tm-align

structural alignment of proteins

TM-align is a computer algorithm for protein structure alignment using dynamic programming. The scoring is performed by the TM-score rotation matrix. This is similar to the RMSD in that unaligned portions of the structure influence the scoring less than the more structurally conserved regions.

Installing TMalign command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali and Raspbian operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of TMalign 2026 package in your OS.
