general purpose tile map editorTiled is a general purpose tile map editor. It's built to be easy to use, yet capable of catering to a host of varying game engines, whether your game is an RPG, platformer or Breakout clone. Tiled supports plugins to read and write map formats, in addition to its map format, to support map formats in use by engines.
Installation of latest tiled command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2026 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
