Vala Panel is a rewrite of SimplePanel. It is a GTK+ 3 desktop panel written in Vala and based on ideas from LXPanel. Vala Panel can be extended with plugins that provide application menus, clock, tasklist, system tray, etc.

Installing vala-panel command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu and Kali operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of vala-panel 2026 package in your OS.
