Tools for using DDS features of DAT drives with GNU tar

This tool makes use of the fast seek command of DAT devices. Files from a selected file archive can be extracted within one minute. A script scsi_vendor is provided which may help in learning more about an unknown SCSI device. It is used by the mt-dds tool.

Install the latest version of scsi_vendor in Debian, Ubuntu, Kali and Raspbian from terminal. To install the scsi_vendor just copy the above command for your OS and run into terminal. After you run the command it will grab the latest version of scsi_vendor from the respository and install it in your computer/server.
