GNU Recutils is a set of tools and libraries to access human-editable, text-based databases called recfiles. The data is stored as a sequence of records, each record containing an arbitrary number of named fields. Despite its simplicity, recfiles can be used to store medium-sized databases.

Installing recins command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora, Raspbian and macOS operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of recins 2026 package in your OS.
