The astrometry engine will take any image and return the astrometry world coordinate system (WCS), a standards-based description of the transformation between image coordinates and sky coordinates.

Installing fits2fits.py command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali and Raspbian operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of fits2fits.py 2026 package in your OS.
