dv4l

Redirect V4L API to access a camcorder from a V4L program

dv4l enables programs to access a dv1394 (Firewire) camcorder by using the video4linux (V4L) API. dv4lstart uses the LD_PRELOAD facility to intercept calls to the V4L API and make the camcorder's videostream available.

Installation of latest dv4l command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali and Raspbian. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2023 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
