Calculix cgx is a 3-dimensional pre- and post-processor for femCalculiX GraphiX (cgx) is a 3-dimensional pre- and post-processor for finite elemnts. CalculiX CrunchiX Finite Element Models can be build, calculated and post-processed. The pre- and post-processor is an interactive 3D-tool using the openGL API. In addition to the Calculix CrunchiX results files (frd) results from OpenFoam, Duns (2D and 3D), Isaac (2D and 3D) and Nastran (f06) can be read. For preprocessing Netgen nativ format, STEP and STL can be imported.
Installing cgx command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali and Raspbian operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of cgx 2026 package in your OS.
