Fractal landscape generator for X

Generates random fractal mountains and displays them in a window (even in the X root window). While the program is running the fractal is continuously extended on the right and the image is scrolled from right to left to expose the newly generated area.

Installation of latest xmountains command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2026 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
