The gpsd service daemon can monitor one or more GPS devices connected to a host computer, making all data on the location and movements of the sensors available to be queried on TCP port 2947. This package contains auxiliary tools and example clients for monitoring and testing gpsd.

Installing xgps command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of xgps 2026 package in your OS.
