imv

command line image viewer intended for use with tiling window managers

imv is an image viewer for X11 and Wayland, aimed at users of tiling window managers. It supports a wide variety of image file formats, including animated gif files. imv will automatically reload the current image, if it is changed on disk. Please note: the executable and the associated manpages were renamed from u2018imvu2019 to u2018imvru2019 because of a name clash.

Installation of latest imvr command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Arch and Kali. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2024 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
