GIFLIB is a package of portable tools and library routines for working with GIF images. This package contains additional utilities.

giflib

The giflib package contains a shared library of functions for

loading and saving GIF format image files. It is API and ABI compatible with libungif, the library which supported uncompressed GIFs while the Unisys LZW patent was in effect.

Install the latest version of giftool in Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, Arch, Kali, CentOS, Fedora, Raspbian and macOS from terminal. To install the giftool just copy the above command for your OS and run into terminal. After you run the command it will grab the latest version of giftool from the respository and install it in your computer/server.
