GIFTI is an XML-based file format for cortical surface data. This reference IO implementation is developed by the Neuroimaging Informatics Technology Initiative (NIfTI). This package provides the tools that are shipped with the library (gifti_tool and gifti_test).

Install the latest version of gifti_tool in Debian, Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian from terminal. To install the gifti_tool just copy the above command for your OS and run into terminal. After you run the command it will grab the latest version of gifti_tool from the respository and install it in your computer/server.
