Utilities for manipulating filesystem extended attributes

A set of tools for manipulating extended attributes on filesystem objects, in particular getfattr(1) and setfattr(1). An attr(1) command is also provided which is largely compatible with the SGI IRIX tool of the same name.

Installing getfattr command is simple. just copy one of the above commands for your operating system and paste it into terminal. This command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, Arch, Kali, CentOS, Fedora and Raspbian operating systems. Once you run the command it will install the latest version of getfattr 2024 package in your OS.
