EncFS integrates file system encryption into the Unix(TM) file system. Encrypted data is stored within the native file system, thus no fixed-size loopback image is required. EncFS uses the FUSE kernel driver and library as a backend.

Installation of latest encfssh command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, Arch, Kali, Fedora, Raspbian and macOS. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2026 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
