This package contains sample programs for viewing (playdv), encoding (encodedv), transferring DV data (dvconnect) and insert audio into a DV stream (dubdv).

The Quasar DV codec (libdv) is a software codec for DV video, theencoding format used by most digital camcorders, typically those that support the IEEE 1394 (a.k.a. FireWire or i.Link) interface. libdv was developed according to the official standards for DV video: IEC 61834 and SMPTE 314M.
Install the latest version of dvconnect in Debian, Ubuntu, Alpine, Arch, Kali, CentOS, Fedora, Raspbian and macOS from terminal. To install the dvconnect just copy the above command for your OS and run into terminal. After you run the command it will grab the latest version of dvconnect from the respository and install it in your computer/server.
