Catkin contains CMake macros that are useful in the development of ROS-related systems. In ROS (Robot OS) Fuerte and later, many of the lower-level libraries are being migrated to be CMake only.

Install the latest version of catkin_make in Debian, Ubuntu, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian from terminal. To install the catkin_make just copy the above command for your OS and run into terminal. After you run the command it will grab the latest version of catkin_make from the respository and install it in your computer/server.
