python-numpy

Numerical Python adds a fast array facility to the Python language

Numpy contains a powerful N-dimensional array object, sophisticated (broadcasting) functions, tools for integrating C/C++ and Fortran code, and useful linear algebra, Fourier transform, and random number capabilities. Numpy replaces the python-numeric and python-numarray modules which are now deprecated and shouldn't be used except to support older software.

python2-numpy

NumPy is a general-purpose array-processing package designed to

efficiently manipulate large multi-dimensional arrays of arbitrary records without sacrificing too much speed for small multi-dimensional arrays. NumPy is built on the Numeric code base and adds features introduced by numarray as well as an extended C-API and the ability to create arrays of arbitrary type. There are also basic facilities for discrete fourier transform, basic linear algebra and random number generation. Also included in this package is a version of f2py that works properly with NumPy.

Installation of latest f2py2.7 command is available for Debian, Ubuntu, Arch, Kali, Fedora and Raspbian. You can copy the command for your OS from above and paste it into your terminal. Once you run the command it will download the 2024 latest package from the repository and install it in your computer/server.
